“Heidelberger Frühling”: Münchner Philharmoniker on Tour
In Heidelberg, the C-Major piano concerto by Prokofiev, which often
seems so cold and constructivist, appeared as organic and subtle
as it rarely does… The soloist, Anika Vavic, blended in perfectly:
Anika Vavic is not super-prominent yet, and is not a piano witch
like Martha Argerich used to be in this piece – but she manages
the remarkable: proving that playing non-legato can be very poetic
indeed.
